🐙 thoughts 🤔

Good morning! Today is June 4th, and I’m on my way to New Jersey to rest and prepare for my first-round match against Takada in GCW’s Tournament of Survival. Before that, though, I get to spend time at Catch Point and take a class taught by Tracy Williams. That alone has me excited. Every time I’m around Tracy, I leave inspired. I leave thinking differently. Learning differently. Seeing wrestling through a new lens. I truly believe he is one of the brightest minds in professional wrestling today, and I’m grateful that I’ll get two days to learn from someone whose passion for the craft is as deep as his understanding of it. Then comes the next chapter. After those two days, I’ll step into the ring with a deathmatch legend Takeda.  If you had told me years ago that I’d willingly enter a deathmatch tournament, I probably would have laughed. But after returning to the ring, something changed. I felt blessed simply to be here again. Blessed to compete. Blessed to learn. Blessed to exp...

🐙 Thoughts 🤔 the catalyst

I find it really telling and honestly interesting that so many people in wrestling right now are all exploring "what wrestling can be", while also feeling like something has changed... or needs to change. So where are we? Are we at the edge, or is there still room to push forward? And more importantly should we? At what point does chasing "evolution" start to come at the cost of safety, longevity, and the integrity of the craft? Those are real questions. Because here's the truth to me at least: independent wrestling, the space that once gave us creativity, individuality, and freedom, now feels like it's slipping away. With the rise of major promotions and their ability to secure talent, the room to create has gotten smaller. More and more, it feels like there's only one way to pertorm, and only one way to fit in. And when that happens, authenticity starts to feel forced. Passion starts to feel like something you have to show instead of something you...

Something is coming. Not a trend. Not a performance. Not an imitation of what already exists. An evolution. An extension of what once was. The art form advanced through discipline, sacrifice, and purpose. For years, I carried this vision quietly. Protected it. Studied it. Refined it. And now... it has awakened. But movements are not built by spectators. They are built by practitioners. By passionate individuals willing to give more than they take. People willing to invest in this ecosystem, nurture it, and protect it, not for personal gain, but so this great sport can flourish for the next generation. This is bigger than any one wrestler. Bigger than ego. Bigger than clout. This is about preserving the soul of professional wrestling while pushing it forward into a new era. I was once a Pure Professional Wrestler. Now... I am a Modern Age Grappler. Please join me, and with the fire, and spirit of the originals... We Are The Foundation. https://x.com/thejongresham/status/2...
